FROCK
The Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation holds a special significance for me. As a kid, I'd explore its corridors, fascinated by the diverse array of objects and artifacts on display. These early encounters sparked my imagination and wanderlust which ultimately influenced me to pursue a career in the arts and design.
Today, I’m overjoyed to share a significant announcement. The museum and I have formed a partnership, resulting in the acquisition of my archives into the permanent collection at the Henry Ford Museum and I’m honored to contribute to the legacy of innovation and creativity this institution represents.
I’m excited to extend an invitation to all of you, to join me this May 9 at Next Step Gallery for a show titled “FROCK.” This event will unveil items from my personal collection, offering a unique glimpse into the whimsical and imaginative world that has fueled my artistic endeavors.
What makes this event even more special is that it's not just about showcasing art; it's about giving back. All proceeds from "FROCK" will support the life-enhancing services at Ruth Ellis Center, a local organization celebrating 25 years of resilience, love, and community. Innovative in its own right, Ruth Ellis Center’s programs and services support LGBTQ+ young people in building their vision for positive futures. It's a fantastic opportunity to enjoy creativity while contributing to a cause that makes a real difference in our community.
